After shaving 25 mins off of his half marathon practice time, local classic car enthusiast Malcolm Hannington is now planning to Brave the shave for charity.
Malcolm, who with his running partner Sarah Moule completed the half marathon in 2 hrs 25 mins on Monday (20th July) is now planning on raising more money by taking part in Brave the shave.
Not content with raising well over £2500 for the Newbury Cancer Care Trust with his run, he now plans to go further with the charity head shave, this time in aid of Thatcham Cancer Support Group.
Malcolm lost his wife Josie to cancer on Christmas Eve last year and wants to give back to the groups that supported them both through the tough times.
The shave will take place at 12.00 noon at George Frederick barbers in Thatcham High Street on August 11th.
