16 and 17 year olds are invited to a NHS vaccine clinic to get their jab (Pfizer) at Northcroft Leisure Centre, Newbury. The clinic runs between 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, from Wednesday, 1st September to Saturday, 4th September.
You can either drop in, or booking ahead is recommended. Face coverings need to be worn (unless exempt).
Covid jabs for 16 and 17 year olds will also be available at Falkland Cricket Club on 5th September, between 11.00 am and 5.00 pm. COVID-19 vaccinations and lateral flow self-test kits (rapid COVID-19 home tests) will be offered alongside the One Community Cricket and Family Fun Day taking place on the grounds, at Enborne Street, Newbury.
You can get your first or second dose for the Pfizer vaccine from the NHS Health on the Move team. If you are going for your second dose, your first dose must have been a Pfizer jab and administered at least eight weeks before.
When you pick up your free self-test kits from the Community Testing van, you can also be shown how to take the test by one of the trained team members.
Other ways to get your jab
16 – 17 year olds can attend walk-in clinics at Broad Street Mall in Reading every day 9.30am – 7.00pm. No appointment is necessary. If you are 18 and over, or within three months of your 18th birthday, you can book online or find a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination site. If you cannot book online, you can call 119 free of charge. You can speak to a translator if you need to.
