Saturday Chatterday is on Saturdays between 11am and 1pm. This is when we talk to people making the news and doing good things in our community.

This Saturday, Paul Walter will be talking to:
Alan Money of Wessex Metal Detecting Club, who will be talking about metal detecting and how his club has raised lots of money for good causes. Find out how the club have dug up West Berkshire fields to unearth coins and rings which are now on show in the British Museum. The Club is trying to help raise money for Lewknor Blue Cross dog’s home.
Isabel Carmona of City Arts Newbury, who will talking us through the arts workshops coming up over the half-term. There are several workshops for children to do with Halloween.
Paul talks about the fact that Newbury’s Corn Exchange is definitely going ahead with this year’s panto, Aladdin.
Paul also talks about his recent holiday in the Isles of Scilly.
In a Community Update, Paul reports that the Public Protection Partnership is asking parents to think creatively about Halloween this year. They advise devising ways for children to enjoy the event without knocking on doors or receiving sweets from residents.
