8 simple steps to advertising your business on Kennet Radio

There are 8 simple steps to advertising your business on Kennet Radio.

We will work closely with you every step of the way, so it’ll be a smooth process.  If you’ve never advertised on the radio before, you’ll be surprised how straightforward it is.

1 Placing the Order

Call us for a no-obligation chat (01635 780880 or 01488 859880).  We will talk through the options with you, and once you have decided on the best campaign for your business, we will email you a Confirmation Booking Form with the details.  Terms and Conditions apply, (see here).  

2 Writing the script

Once you have confirmed your booking, the next step is for us to write your script.

Don’t worry, we will take care of this for you, following your guidance.  Here are the things to think about:

• Who are you?  What is the business name you want in the advert?
• Where are you?  How do potential customers find you?
• What do you want people to do when they hear your ad?
• Why should they do it?  What are the unique selling points of your business?

Our production team will work with you and will write a great script.  This process includes making sure we know how to pronounce any unusual words, products, names, places, etc.

3 Clearing the script

We then obtain UK Code of Broadcast Advertising (BCAP Code) clearance for the script.    

We do this for you – you don’t have to do anything.

4 Approving the script

Once we have a final version of the script agreed, we will ask you to approve it before we move on to Step 5.

This is an important milestone – once you approve the agreed script, it is finalised for production.  Making changes later on is difficult, time-consuming and costly.  

5 Producing the advert

When we have your final approval we can then produce the actual advert.

6 Your Final Approval

The finished recorded/produced advert is then sent to you for your final OK before it goes on the air.

Just so’s you know, making changes at this point is possible, but difficult, time-consuming and costly.  If there is a mistake on our side then we will of course rectify it at our expense.  But if you decide you want changes at this stage it will incur an additional charge.   

7 Invoice

Once your ad is done, we will send you our invoice for you to pay by return – and even that couldn’t be easier! 

You can pay us by online banking, by direct debit (for regular invoices), or by debit/credit card.

8 On the air

Well done – your advert is now live!

How long does all of this take?

We aim to have your advert on the air within 5 working days of receiving your Booking Form and payment.  Often, we can make this happen faster than this.
